Jazz Night with Dean Masser and Andy Hulme
Jazz Night with Dean Masser and Andy Hulme
Settle yourselves in for an unforgettable night of jazz music (and pizza!) with performances by Dean Masser, accompanied by Andy Hulme.
Jazz saxophonist and composer, Dean made his first recording with the legendary Jack Parnell Quartet (Live at Ronnie Scott’s) in 1992, and has been featured on many albums since (Georgina Jackson, the Pete Long Orchestra, Alan Barnes Octet, Gaz Hughes Sextet). From there he has gone from strength to strength, recording his first album as leader, Old School, in 2010 and then winning the public vote in the 2019 British Jazz Awards. He recently recorded an album with his daughter, Emily Masser: “Songs With My Father” which received a 4 star review in Jazzwise magazine.
Dean has performed on national TV and radio on numerous occasions, and in addition to his small group work he has performed in the Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra, Echoes of Ellington, BBC Radio Big Band, the Super C Big Band and many more.
Join us for what promises to be a truly memorable night.
We’ll also be serving our epic sourdough pizzas, from 5pm; so come and secure your spot early; Thursday is the ‘unofficial’ start of the weekend after all.
