Set within the beautiful Holy Trinity Church, Eccleshall, the final screening of the 2026 Pocket Film Festival celebrates the centenary of F. W. Murnau’s silent classic, FAUST.

Based on the traditional legend and works by Christopher Marlowe and Goethe, the film follows the scholar Faust as he is drawn into a dangerous pact with Mephisto. As plague devastates the land and his prayers go unanswered, Faust turns to the devil for help.

The screening will be brought to life with live organ accompaniment by acclaimed musician Darius Battiwalla. A regular Pocket Film Festival performer, Darius is widely sought after for his atmospheric silent-film scores and has accompanied classics including Nosferatu, The Phantom of the Opera, The Cabinet of Dr Caligari and Blackmail.
